Horn Photography & Design and Etowah Meadery have teamed up again to offer a Second Sips + Pics course on Aperture + Composition. This class will get you achieving that bokeh background which is so sought after with high-end photography along with learning how to compose your photos like a pro while sipping on 2 complimentary flights of handcrafted mead made by master mead maker, Blair Housley. We will also be providing lunch to begin the day. Brandon & Michelle Horn, local Professional Wedding + Lifestyle Photographers with 10 years of experience, will be teaching this illuminating class.

The first Sips + Pics course for beginners last month was a beautiful success and all students in attendance requested that we do a second course building on the first. So here we are with the second Sips + Pics Course: Aperture + Composition. During this course we will dive into using your aperture settings to achieve your desired photographic look - using it for both controlling light and depth of field. This will be followed by creative composition- the rule of thirds along with elements of composition.

In this course we will dive into using your aperture settings to achieve your desired photographic look - using it for both controlling light and depth of field. This will be followed by creative composition- the rule of thirds, along with elements of composition: patterns, texture, symmetry, asymmetry, lines, curves, frames, contrast, color, viewpoint, depth, negative space, filled space, foreground, background, visual tension, shapes. Using one or more of these elements to create a composition that works for your image.

STYLED SESSION

Yep your read that correctly! Part of the 4 hour course will be a hands on styled session with a model so you work on your new aperture + compositions skills. We will be there right along side of you to answer any questions + give tips and pointers. This will also give a little sneak peak into how we work with and pose our clients.

This is a 1 day course which builds upon the beginners course hosted last month. This is an excellent advanced follow-up course! Or, if you did not attend the first course but are looking to take your photos to the next level this is for you.
